Job Summary
Specialist – Visually Impaired for preschool–8th grade in Tempe, Arizona. Develop, implement, and monitor programs favorable to learning and personal growth for visually impaired students; conduct evaluations and develop IEPs; collaborate with regular classroom teachers; supervise instructional and/or personal assistants; maintain accurate progress records; participate in MET processes; provide input on staff performance; communicate with parents; and participate in professional development activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Arizona Special Education Teacher certification with Visually Impaired special area
- Ability to travel to more than one work location in the course of the day as assigned
- Master Degree in Special Education (preferred)
