Job Summary
Specialist Training Field role (REMOTE) with a focus on implementing school-wide positive behavior support, conducting ABA-informed interventions, data collection, and collaboration with IEP teams to improve student outcomes. Responsibilities include delivering targeted interventions, modeling and reinforcing positive behaviors, maintaining behavior-related documentation, crisis de-escalation, and supporting classroom staff in behavior management. Requires an Associate’s degree or higher, paraprofessional/educator credentialing in process or obtained, RBT credential preferred, crisis-management certification, and experience with special education students and ABA concepts (FBA, PBIS, BIP). The position is remote with an on-site Colorado Springs location option, compensation starting at $23-$28/hour based on experience, and benefits package."
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in a closely related field of study
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a paraprofessional, paraeducator, educational aide, teaching assistant or related credential
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a registered behavior technician (RBT) credential highly preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training
- Prior experience providing behavioral instruction, guidance and/or support to children; preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting
- Highly skilled in working with children with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional behavioral disorders and/or other related disabilities
- Well-versed in applied behavior analysis (ABA) including functional behavior assessment (FBA), positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS) and behavior intervention plans (BIP's) preferred
- Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals
- Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency situation and make independent decisions
- Solid motivational skills and willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and new initiatives
- Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment
- Education level requirement aligns with role in special education and behavior support
- Location proximity to Colorado Springs and remote work option available
