Job Summary
Oversee facility shutdown activities and projects, coordinating planning, scheduling, and vendor activities across Maintenance, Validation, Quality, and Operations to address outages and ensure safety, budget compliance, and timeliness. Develop comprehensive shutdown schedules using Microsoft Project or similar software; create and oversee shutdown planning action lists; maintain clear communication with staff and departments about the status of utility shutdowns; manage relationships with Maintenance and Production Team Leaders, Reliability Coordinators, and Operations Leadership; identify opportunities for improvement; ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and purchasing policies; participate in safety audits and ensure timely documentation; prepare preparatory work before scheduled downtime; lead daily shutdown planning coordination meetings; work in Parsippany, NJ in a hybrid onsite/remote arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an FDA-regulated environment
- Demonstrated strong project management skills
- Comprehensive background in cGMP principles and concepts
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel); Windows familiarity
- SAP experience is a plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to identify and address issues during shutdown activities with timely decisions
- Strong organizational skills to coordinate and prioritize tasks during shutdowns
