Job Summary

Coordinate services for the elderly including home/personal care, nutrition services, and long-term care supports. Public speaking and outreach experience is preferred. County-wide travel is required. This part-time position requires a valid New York State driver's license or demonstrated ability to meet transportation needs. Applications are accepted until the position is filled, with the first review scheduled for August 14, 2026. A civil service exam is required for permanent appointment.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a bachelor's degree
  • Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an associate's degree and two (2) years of experience in social casework, social casework in a community or social action program, or as a Community Service Worker in a human services agency
  • Graduation from High School or possession of a High School equivalency diploma and four (4) years of experience as defined in (B) above
  • Valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate their ability to meet the transportation needs of the job
  • Human Services experience is that which is involved in the direct delivery of social, economic, or emotional support services to people who are having difficulty coping with the pressures and strains of modern life. The experience requires judgment on the part of the individual in dealing with or responding to the client
