Job Summary
Specialist Servers and Storage role focusing on supporting and evolving OT compute and storage environments underpinning Rio Tinto Iron Ore operations. Responsibilities include administering on-premises OT compute/storage platforms, supporting VMware and Active Directory, maintaining and refactoring custom scripts, lifecycle support for operational tools (secure file transfer and asset discovery/reporting), driving automation through tools like Ansible, and contributing to infrastructure projects with technical input, implementation, troubleshooting, and documentation. The position is based at the Perth Operations Centre with flexible working arrangements including work-from-home, and a safety-conscious, inclusive, collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with VMware and Microsoft Active Directory
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in production-critical environments
- Experience managing or supporting scripting solutions (PowerShell, VB, or similar)
- Experience with secure file transfer platforms (e.g. Go Anywhere or similar)
- Ability to drive automation opportunities (e.g. Ansible)
- Ability to contribute to infrastructure projects, troubleshooting, and documentation
