Job Summary
Specialist Senior, Cash Operations at Denver Health responsible for a range of cash handling and accounting duties: overseeing daily cash, checks, credit cards, and wire transfers; balancing and reconciling deposits; posting to the General Ledger via Lawson; assisting with month-end close and journal entries; coordinating with multiple departments to implement new workflows; leading in the training of new hires and ongoing staff development; managing the daily bank download, wire transfer processes, and offsite clinic cash handling; ensuring accuracy of cash reports and supporting change orders and vault activity; providing coverage for other clerical roles within Cash Operations; delivering strong customer service to patients, visitors, and staff; and ensuring compliance with established guidelines while supporting process improvements and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 1-3 years work experience in finance, accounting, or cash management
- Three years finance, accounting, or cash management experience (preferred)
- Skilled in analytical thinking, problem solving and process improvement
- Ability to coordinate multiple functions and projects
- Knowledge of PC applications and proficiency with new applications
- Ability to work in teams and communicate effectively
- Ability to handle cash and reconcile payments
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel capability; Proficient in Microsoft Office; Working knowledge of Epic preferred
