Job Summary
Specialist, Reading 6-12 responsible for developing and delivering professional development for reading content and instructional strategies, collaborating with schools and administrators to support literacy goals, supporting classroom teachers in curriculum implementation and data-driven instruction, leading coaching cycles (pre-conference, model, co-teach, observe, debrief), analyzing school and student data to tailor instructional strategies, facilitating professional learning communities, developing training syllabi and curriculum guides, and participating in the evaluation of instructional materials while maintaining schedule reporting. Florida-certified with a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred); five years of reading instruction experience required. Located in Jacksonville, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Master’s degree preferred
- Florida Department of Education Certification
- Five (5) years successful elementary and/or secondary classroom reading teaching experience
- Experience conducting professional development
