Job Summary
Specialist, Quality Engineer to lead QA activities for a modern data platform within Nationwide Technology. The role focuses on planning and executing a broad range of software quality tests, ensuring end-user requirements align with organizational standards, and enabling a robust continuous integration/deployment pipeline. You will operate in a hybrid model, coming into offices in Columbus, Des Moines, or Scottsdale two days per week (Wednesday and Thursday). You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Python, DataOps, AtScale and Streamsets, contributing to risk-based testing, test automation, performance testing, test data management, release testing, and defect management. Typical duties include coordinating test runs and environments, tracing requirements to tests, validating results, and supporting the release process. Qualifications include undergraduate studies in computer science, MIS, or related field (preferred) and 4+ years of testing/automation experience, with strong analytical and communication skills and knowledge of agile testing practices. Required Qualifications
- Must have expertise in advanced SQL queries
- Must have expertise in ETL tools like Informatica
- Solid experience in Data warehousing projects
- Understanding of Testing framework, test tools and various test activities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated, self-organized and results driven
- Experience with agile testing within the software development lifecycle
- Test Automation skills with Tosca
