Job Summary
Coordinate Project Management for the Logistics Department to ensure transparency in milestone achievement and interdependencies across departments; define qualification concepts for salaried personnel within logistics; establish and agree KPI visuals with Leadership Team; take leadership of specific logistics projects when required; support establishment of a Quality Management System (QMS) and Shopfloor Management within Logistics per central guidelines; assist in problem-solving and optimization to prevent production stops due to logistics failures; support annual and permanent inventory coordination; maintain reference data in VW Group proprietary systems; role is based on-site in Blythewood, SC with in-person meetings and travel to company events as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial/mechanical/electrical engineering or related field
- Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 5+ years of professional experience in logistics or production in high volume manufacturing environment
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO, VDA)
- Experience with SAP or complex IT systems
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly
- Collaborative team-player with interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
