Job Summary
Coordinate and facilitate project scheduling and tracking for a portfolio of network installation and upgrade projects, monitoring scope, budget, timeline, and integration. Manage internal and third-party resources within the build plan workflow, ensuring quality audits and acceptance tests adhere to TDS standards. Maintain project plans throughout the lifecycle, provide direction to teams, and produce detailed reports on capital budget expenditures using Clarity and SAP. Ensure closure of projects including budget, invoice, and contract retirement while tracking documentation for accuracy. Remain current on installation procedures and regulatory processes to assist in planning network changes and submit reports to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher)
- 4+ years' of professional work experience
- 1+ years' of telecommunications or commercial construction experience
- 1+ years' of project leadership experience
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license

- Project management experience with budget responsibility
- Completion of one or more projects through all phases of at least one life cycle
- Average of 10% time travel may be required with possible overnight stays

- Ability to perform in a self-directed environment
- Ability to plan, organize and control multiple tasks and projects
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including exceptional written and oral communication skills and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to resource, organize and deploy a strong team and foster a spirit of team play
- Knowledge of appropriate tools for the system(s) preferred, which may include MS Project, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and any functional systems being affected by the project
- Ability to rapidly assimilate key business objectives of the business unit being supported by the project
- Experience in engineering, design, or installation in the telecommunications industry
- Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders to understand the value proposition of each project and project request
- Ability to influence others without the benefit of organizational authority
- Ability to achieve success through effective use of teams, and be able to demonstrate personal adaptability in a changing environment
- Ability to demonstrate effective use of process and use of judgment to adapt processes as the situation demands
