Job Summary
Specialist Production Accounting at BHP will maintain end-to-end production accounting processes, including material movements, inventory balances, and mass reconciliation; ensure data integrity across operational, planning, and financial reporting systems; serve as the single source of truth for production volumes and reconciled inventory positions; deliver weekly and monthly production reporting with KPIs, variance analysis, and commentary; support period-end close; investigate and resolve discrepancies using root cause analysis; implement controls to improve data quality; identify and execute continuous improvement in PA processes, tools, and reporting; support PA system implementation and transition to steady state; provide ad hoc analysis to support operational and leadership decision-making; require 1–3 years of relevant experience and proficiency in data analysis tools.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in processing, mining, or industrial operations
- Familiarity with data governance, internal controls, and audit practices
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
- Effective collaboration and communication across technical and non-technical teams
