Job Summary
Conduct technical pre-sales activities as a Subject Matter Expert for the Palo Alto Networks security portfolio, including requirement gathering, security assessments, solution architecture, and product demonstrations. Deploy and validate Proof of Concepts while assisting the sales team with RFP/RFI responses, Bill of Materials preparation, and licensing guidance. Engage directly with partners and enterprise customers through distribution round tables, technical workshops, and executive briefings to position solutions throughout the sales lifecycle. Deliver partner enablement sessions, hands-on labs, and internal training on Next-Generation Firewalls, Prisma Access, and SD-WAN. Build demo environments and technical documentation while gathering customer feedback to improve Go-To-Market strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Technical Pre-Sales
- 3–5 years of experience in Solution Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in Network Security Consulting
- 3–5 years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks solutions
- Experience with Enterprise firewalls
- Experience with Network Security
- Experience with Cloud Security
- Experience with Endpoint Security
- Prior experience working with a distributor, system integrator, or value-added reseller (VAR)
- Strong hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls
- Strong hands-on experience with Panorama
- Strong hands-on experience with Security Policies
- Strong hands-on experience with NAT
- Strong hands-on experience with VPN (Site-to-Site & GlobalProtect)
- Strong hands-on experience with App-ID
- Strong hands-on experience with User-ID
- Strong hands-on experience with Content-ID
- Strong hands-on experience with WildFire
- Strong hands-on experience with DNS
- Strong hands-on experience with Security Threat Prevention
- Good understanding of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)
- Good understanding of Zero Trust
- Good understanding of SD-WAN
- Good understanding of Endpoint Security
- Good understanding of SOC Operations
- Good understanding of XDR Concepts
- Good understanding of Cloud Security
- Good understanding of Container Security
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA)
- Palo Alto Networks Systems Engineer (PSE)
- Foundation PSE

- Cortex XDR / Cortex XSOAR certifications
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to explain complex cybersecurity concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong customer-facing and partner engagement skills
- Experience working in a distribution or channel-driven environment
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
