Job Summary
Payroll Specialist in a London-based finance function responsible for managing monthly payroll for ~800 employees, ensuring HMRC compliance, auto-enrolment processing, statutory reporting (P60s, P11Ds, PAYE Settlement Agreement), and reconciliations. Primary duties include payroll data uploads, joiners/leavers/variable changes, tax form preparation, expat/inpat and short-term business visitor compliance, disclosures to HR and external payroll providers, and supporting the UK Payroll Manager with robust controls and deadline-driven reporting. Requires strong customer service, written and verbal communication, and the ability to work across functions within a professional services firm. Five+ years of payroll experience, familiarity with PAYE/NIC, and UK payroll practices are expected; ADP knowledge and CIPP foundation level are desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years’ experience in payroll/accounts administration
- Knowledge of ADP payroll system desirable
- Knowledge of payroll and accounting principles
- CIPP foundation level desirable
- Experience in professional services sector desirable
