Specialist: Patient Access (Full-time)

Patient Access / Registration Specialist provides first point of contact with patients, greeting and assisting with registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling in a high-volume healthcare setting. Responsibilities include registering patients in the EHR, verifying insurance eligibility, collecting payments and co-pays, educating patients on registration requirements, maintaining accurate demographics and insurance data, and supporting ED registration when assigned. Uses Cerner and other electronic systems, supports cross-training for patient experience duties, and upholds HIPAA/privacy standards while delivering compassionate service. This full-time role may support hospital, clinic, and/or Emergency Department registration functions, with an additional $1.00/hour premium when assigned to ED.
