Specialist – Patent Search

Specialist – Patent Search role focusing on preparing and delivering patent search and analysis services in collaboration with laboratory teams and IP legal personnel. Apply subject-matter expertise in physical sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or Material/Polymer Science) to support IP-related activities. Conduct comprehensive patent searches and analyses using tools such as PatSnap and Espacenet. Independently manage and prioritize incoming search requests, ensuring information is gathered to meet search objectives. Prepare and deliver clear, accurate search reports with assessments of technologies and patent claims. Collaborate with IP liaisons and patent attorneys to support the IP management process. Identify and resolve issues by interpreting data and relevant rules/guidelines. Manage sensitive and confidential information, including records of invention, filing strategies, and patent applications. Build strong working relationships with internal clients to understand and meet data management and search requirements. Participate in cross-functional and cross-divisional teams and special projects as needed.
