Job Summary
Monitor and administer Layer 2/Layer 3 OT network devices, IP routing, and MPLS configurations while performing advanced remote diagnostics to maintain network integrity. Provision, document, and maintain lifecycle version control for routers, switches, firewalls, and transport circuits within the centralized configuration repository to ensure audit-ready records. Perform logical network provisioning and rerouting during planned maintenance or incidents, providing real-time visibility to field teams to minimize service disruption. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on proof-of-concept testing and technology evaluations to integrate new OT communication standards. Participate in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to support safe service recovery. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and five years of experience supporting network or telecom transport systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, telecommunications, electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related technical field
- 5 years' of experience supporting network or telecom transport systems, or OT/ICS network administration
- Experience supporting utility communication networks such as WAN, FAN, LAN, SCADA, tele-protection, or substations networks
- Hands-on experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting routers, switches, MPLS networks, microwave radio systems, and RF communication equipment
- Experience in utility or critical infrastructure environments with emergency response or storm restoration efforts
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a relevant field accompanied by a minimum of 8 years of experience performing similar functions and at least 3 years of experience performing an OT Network Technician (or equivalent OT/telecom network support) role
- CompTIA Network+ Certification
- Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
