Job Summary
Lead the team to handle all quality excursions independently and oversee product and material quality from NPI to mass production. Develop quality control plans for material, process, and product areas while monitoring and reporting quality KPIs for internal and external stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead process, product, system, and supplier audits to ensure compliance with industry standards like ISO. Develop and maintain internal quality systems, procedures, and work instructions, coaching junior staff to enhance their knowledge. Follow up on engineering and supplier process change notifications to ensure timely and accurate implementation of changes.
Required Qualifications
- 4 to 6 years in a similar role or industry
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Strong knowledge of quality tools, ISO and IPC standards and processes
- Strong knowledge of product and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, PMP, SPC, 8D methodology, etc.
- Knowledge of Six sigma and Lean Kaizen
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of software and its uses in generating reports capturing data presenting data in an understandable format
- Knowledge and understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction product quality, on-time delivery and profitability of the unit
