Job Summary
Specialist, Occupational Therapist for Mukilteo School District. 1.0 FTE non-continuing contract through the 2026 school year with location/time TBD. Provide occupational therapy services and related evaluations for children, participate in IEP team discussions, plan and implement therapy programs to support fine motor and sensory needs, maintain accurate records, submit reports, and collaborate with parents and school staff to promote student success and compliance with applicable laws and policies. Requires ESA certificate and WA licensure; master's degree in occupational therapy encouraged. Will engage in ongoing professional growth and provide focused instruction aligned with IEP goals; duties include evaluation, program planning, materials development, and ensuring access to a free, appropriate public education.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate certificate as an Occupational Therapist
- Valid Washington State licensure
- Experience and/or qualification in school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Master's degree in occupational therapy encouraged to apply
- Ability to design and conduct specialized instruction, remediation, and evaluation
- Knowledge of applicable Washington State and federal rules and regulations
- Ability to collaborate with parents, students, staff, and administrators
- Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills
- Cultural competency and ability to address diverse backgrounds
