Job Summary
Specialist, Note Endorsement reviews promissory note endorsement chain and determines curative actions based on the review in accordance with company standards while providing a superior level of customer service to both external and internal customers. Responsibilities include processing promissory notes by reviewing chain of title, executing internal allonges or requesting from outside third parties, shipping to proper party, following up for pending documents; shipping original documents to PHH firms or vendors; responding to internal and external requests; completing special projects; cross-training to assist with additional job functions during peak volumes; and maintaining strong organizational and time-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- One-year mortgage servicing or related experience
- Working knowledge of the Promissory Note and other mortgage documents
- Strong communication skills
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must have good decision-making skills and ability to research & show initiative in solving problems
- Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple & changing priorities
- Must have ability to work in and promote a team environment
- PC Experience – Microsoft Word & Excel required
- Effective time management to balance day to day tasks against short and long-term project deliverables
- Prior knowledge of residential mortgage servicing, related loan documents and Agency guidelines.
