Specialist, New Store Opening Coordinator

Job Summary
Own and improve new store opening playbooks while leading operational execution of Workshop and Connection Center launches. Develop detailed project timelines in partnership with construction, facilities, IT, HR, legal, service, and sales teams to ensure equipment, inventory, systems, and safety infrastructure are ready on time. Collaborate with recruiting and learning & development to coordinate training schedules, facilitate hands-on sessions, and validate SOPs before launch. Independently evaluate risks, manage go-live support for digital systems, and oversee site readiness including facility setup, vehicle logistics, and merchandising. Support day-to-day office operations, lead soft launch activities, and provide on-site stabilization for 30–60 days post-launch. This role requires 75% travel and flexible evening/weekend coverage to support grand opening activations.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in new store openings, retail operations, network deployment, or launch management
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing medium to large teams in retail or automotive environments
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or equivalent experience
- Project management certification preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of internal teams and external partners
- Proficiency leveraging AI tools to maintain high productivity, identify operational efficiencies, and build scalable resources such as templates, trackers, and automated workflows that support new store opening execution and cross-functional team performance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools, with a proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing tasks in fast-paced environments
- Adaptable and proactive, comfortable with change and able to thrive in dynamic settings
- Team-oriented and personable, while maintaining independence and accountability
- Location: Bluffdale, UT, Mesa, AZ, or Englewood, CO
- Ability to travel up to 75%
- Schedule flexibility to support new store openings, launch events, customer-facing activations, and other business-critical milestones
