Job Summary
Specialist, Loss Prevention in Hamburg leads inventory/audit management, risk analysis, and loss prevention measures across Northern Europe stores and operations. Responsibilities include coordinating inventories and stock-takes, analyzing inventory results and cash differences, ensuring process compliance, acting as primary contact for external auditors, developing measures to reduce shrinkage and fraud, monitoring effectiveness of controls, creating reports and KPIs, partnering with Finance/HR/Store Teams, and delivering loss prevention training. Requires 3–5 years in retail or international environment, strong analytical skills, experience with ERP and POS systems, proficiency in Excel and possibly Power BI, and willingness to travel up to 40 days/year. English proficiency mandatory; German/French/Dutch an advantage. Hybrid work arrangement with a Hamburg HQ and flexible working hours including 2 days home office and 3 days in-office; travel and European remote work options also noted.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience
- retail or global consumer brand experience a strong plus
- English proficiency in written and spoken form
- German, French, or Dutch language skills an advantage
- travel readiness up to 40 days per year
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Power BI a plus
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics AX, or similar platforms
- Experience with POS environments and CCTV or EMA solutions a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement process standards and action plans
- Detail-oriented, proactive, solution-driven mindset
- Ability to translate data into insights and recommendations
- Ability to work in an international environment
- Passion for loss prevention and stock accuracy
