Job Summary
Specialist, Logistics role handling logistics expenditures, processing incoming/outgoing shipments from a documentation, customs and transportation perspective. Responsibilities include selecting, contracting and executing cost-effective transportation (air, train, truck, ocean), preparing export/import documents, monitoring shipment status, ensuring compliance with customs regulations for North American and offshore transactions, and interfacing with carriers and 3PLs to negotiate rates and resolve issues. Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint and knowledge of international customs regulations, certificates, and shipping documentation are required/sought; six-month contract with potential overtime and a focus on data integrity within IMAX operating systems.
