Job Summary
Paralegal supports Family Dollar’s Real Estate and Portfolio Management teams by drafting, negotiating, and managing lease documents (amendments, renewals, terminations, and related agreements) under attorney supervision. Maintains lease management system, tracks document status to meet deadlines, communicates with landlords and internal teams, and coordinates nationwide recording of real estate documents through third-party providers. Responsibilities include preparing initial drafts from templates, identifying missing information, pushing documents through review and signatures, and providing updates on current projects to attorneys.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Four-year college degree, paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience: 3 or more years of real estate or other equivalent experience
- Proven track record in priority setting and managing multiple tasks with attorney supervision
- High attention to detail, strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Computer Skills: Intermediate MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
