Job Summary
Improves K-12 English Language Arts (ELA) instruction of students with disabilities through professional development, coaching, and instructional support for teachers and school-based coaches. Responsibilities include developing and delivering PD for teachers, observing and co-teaching in classrooms, analyzing school and student data to inform instructional strategies, facilitating professional learning communities, providing guidance on instructional materials and curriculum, and incorporating Universal Design for Learning, assistive technology, and accommodations to promote reading proficiency for students with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Five (5) years of experience in exceptional student education
- Florida Department of Education certification in at least one area of exceptional student education. ELA certification and reading endorsement preferred
