Job Summary
Conduct Controlled Source Electro-Magnetic (CSEM) analysis including feasibility studies, acquisition design, resistivity modeling, 3D inversion, and interpretation. Deliver technically robust geophysical products by integrating CSEM data with seismic, well, and geological information for exploration and appraisal workflows. Supervise technical workflows across the CSEM value chain and provide specialist expertise to ensure quality control of internal and vendor deliverables. Collaborate with subsurface regional teams, external contractors, and internal technology groups to support project delivery and expand CSEM technology application. Develop proficiency in Linux/HPC environments and geophysical software while communicating findings, uncertainties, and recommendations to project collaborators.
Required Qualifications
- Geophysics / Geoscience degree from a recognised university
- 8 years proven experience as an applied geophysicist with knowledge in CSEM work
- Strong hands-on experience in CSEM/EM modelling, inversion and interpretation
- Experience with CSEM survey design, feasibility studies and resistivity model building
- Experience working in Linux/HPC environments
- Experience with CSEM modelling/inversion software (EMGS tools OR other equivalent softwares)
- Experience integrating CSEM with seismic, well and geological data
- Strong communication, customer engagement and technical delivery skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across global teams
- Demonstrated potential to grow into a recognised technical leader, providing subject matter guidance, mentoring colleagues, and supporting the continued development and application of CSEM capability across bp

Desired Qualifications
- Rock physics and seismic reservoir characterisation experience
- Knowledge of AVO, FWI and other advanced geophysical products
- Familiarity with Petrel and seismic interpretation workflows
- Experience supporting offshore exploration and appraisal projects
- Experience managing or quality-controlling contractor deliverables
