Specialist, Fixed Asset Accounting

Job Summary
Provide fixed asset support and analysis inclusive of period end financial close responsibilities for assigned markets. Maintain an accurate and current accounting ledger through timely posting of all required items and ensure transactions are correctly reflected on a country basis. Execute monthly account reconciliation processes, review and sign off on final financial packages and Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and ensure compliance with US GAAP, local statutory requirements, and SOX controls. Actively identify opportunities for streamlining service delivery and participate in special projects while collaborating with Virtual Finance Teams and onsite BSC towers. Ensure required accuracy on all defined KPIs and SLA's are met.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a finance or accounting department of a multinational company
- demonstrated experience in dealing with US and ex-US accounting
- Business-level English skills (speaking and writing)
- Business-level fluency in Mandarin language (speaking and writing)
- Experience using SAP
- Experience with US GAAP
- Experience with non-US GAAP environments
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills
- Demonstrated commitment to education and professional development
- Advance problem solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style to implement new initiatives
- Intermediate to Advanced PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness and professionalism
