SPECIALIST, FINANCIAL REPORTING

Job Summary
Contribute to the preparation and delivery of BDC's financial reporting deliverables on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including consolidated and non-consolidated financial statements and notes. Monitor and report on Capital Management, reconcile Portfolio Risk Management and CFAR economic capital calculations, and prepare analyses on new IFRS accounting standards to support their implementation. Coordinate the Financial Reporting team, assign tasks, and serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory inquiries. Prepare Management Discussion and Analysis, executive dashboards, and Board presentations while utilizing AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency. Liaise with the Portfolio Management team to ensure coordination of capital reporting and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives for reporting processes.
Required Qualifications
- CPA designation
- 5+ years' experience in financial reporting, accounting and/or auditing
- Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting process
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet tight deadlines
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, ability to obtain information and communicate issues and requests to others effectively, ability to foster relationships with internal customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English
- High proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial systems (e.g., PeopleSoft)
- Capacity to learn new financial systems and willingness to adopt AI and automation solutions
