Job Summary
Conduct face-to-face benefit education and validation for inpatient, observation, and outpatient patients while collecting liabilities such as copays, deductibles, and balances. Perform pre-registration and registration tasks to collect financial liability, verify insurance eligibility, and process Medicaid or charity assistance. Execute daily census reviews to identify potential eligibility issues, run missed collection opportunity reports, and make at least three daily room visits to collect estimated patient liabilities. Complete post-discharge letters detailing estimated liability and payment options, and assist with consent forms for treatment and observation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative)
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Must be able to work on-site at Ardent - Hillcrest Claremore in Claremore, OK
- Must make at least 3 attempts each day to visit a patient's room if the patient is otherwise preoccupied in previous attempts
- Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary
