Job Summary
Prepare journal entries, money moves, payments, billing, and administrative system accounting reports, while analyzing and maintaining general ledger accounts and client insured records. Execute variation and trend analysis for key general ledger accounts to forecast, budget, and prior year variances, ensuring timely monthly and quarterly closes. Coordinate revenue and expense accruals, process refunds, and apply funds to insured records, presenting findings to senior management or clients. Develop and document internal accounting policies and procedures, verifying work for less experienced staff and ensuring compliance with SOX, GAAP, and tax regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with SOX procedures
- Knowledge of SSAE16 procedures
- Knowledge of tax regulations
- Knowledge of local GAAP
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Knowledge of local statutory regulations
- Ability to ensure compliance with corporate policies
- Ability to ensure compliance with carrier agreements
- Ability to ensure compliance with financial matters regulations
- Ability to verify work of less experienced levels of accountants
- Ability to provide guidance to less experienced levels of accountants
- Ability to provide functional advice or training to less experienced accountant positions
