Job Summary
Deliver high-quality crisis responses, outreach support, and targeted interventions to women and children in community settings, motels, and emergency accommodation. Respond to referrals from The Orange Door, Safe Steps, and self-referrals to provide assessment, service planning, and interim support that promotes safety, stabilization, and recovery. Conduct ongoing assessments of client needs and risks from intake through to exit while developing client-led case plans aligned with the National Family Violence Model of Care. Identify and escalate risks to ensure safety for clients, staff, and the organization, and support access to holistic services including advocacy and community connections. This fixed-term role supports the Rapid Response Team's mission to provide immediate, trauma-informed care grounded in a feminist framework.
Required Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work
- A current Employee Working With Children Check
- A Victorian Driver's Licence
- A mandatory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
- Fixed-Term Full Time (negotiable Part-Time 0.8 FTE) onsite role
- Contracted until June 2027
- Location in Windsor, Victoria
- Compensation in accordance with the SCHADS Award – Level 5
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the family violence sector (desirable)
- Experience in specialist family violence and/or child wellbeing work (highly desirable)
- Demonstrated crisis response capability
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Advanced computer and data management skills
