Job Summary
Specialist – Strategic Procurement for Global Procurement of Pharmaceutical Excipients. Responsible for end-to-end procurement of excipients for GMO, managing Alternate Vendor Development & Derisking, issuing RFIs/RFQs, negotiating prices, creating contracts, coordinating with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Planning, Mfg., IPDO, RA, QC/QA, IPM), driving dual-sourcing plans, and ensuring on-time launches. Activities include supplier identification and development, vendor audits/re-qualification, monitoring supplier performance, validating supplier capacity and regulatory status for new launches, and supporting cost-reduction initiatives and de-risking through cross-functional collaboration. Requires a B.Tech/B Pharm/MSc with MBA preferred, and 5–7 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Vendor Management.
