Job Summary
Specialist ESINET SME responsible for guiding the upgrade of the emergency call system, including architectural design, procurement, and build phases. Tasks include managing ESINET/NENA i3 compliant system implementation, ensuring NENA and APCO standards, interconnecting PSAPs at demarcation points, producing ESINET Core Services device configuration templates, deploying ESINET Network Technology, developing test cases and risk identification for ESINET integration, and defining ESINET architecture between PSAC1 and PSAC2 per standards. Requires strong experience in mid-to-large enterprise networks, ESINET/NENA i3 knowledge, SIP design for Voice/Video/Data, understanding of emergency services routing, and BGP for IPv4/IPv6; also desirable are cross-organizational collaboration skills and clear business writing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of experience in a technical and/or business application, product, platform, or methodology
- Experience with design, deployment and troubleshooting mid to large enterprise network
- Experience in auditing/assessing data network architect design
- Understanding of ESINET NENA i3 network design
- Understanding of SIP design and implementation for Voice/Video and Data
- Understanding of functional elements and emergency services call routing
- Understanding of network routing protocols such as BGP for IPv4 and IPv6
