Job Summary
Specialist in Electrical Engineering within Honda Canada's Quality Engineering department to drive continuous quality improvement for the Canadian automotive market. Responsibilities include conducting market data analysis to identify and prioritize quality issues; performing technical investigations on failed parts or vehicle systems to identify root cause; developing test plans to replicate real-world usage; using measurement equipment to quantify vehicle performance against specifications; coordinating field visits for investigations; generating technical reports to communicate findings; collaborating with R&D, factories, and other departments to advance countermeasure activities; validating countermeasures and their effectiveness; producing technical service publications for dealers; providing technical support across internal groups; and willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Qualifications include a university degree in engineering, at least 3 years of automotive experience with project management, knowledge of electrical principles, 12V and high-voltage systems, HVAC components, hands-on vehicle repair/diagnosis, strong communication, MS Office proficiency, and a valid G license; travel and overtime may be required.
Required Qualifications
- University Degree in Engineering
- 3 years of automotive or related experience with strong project management capability
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with vehicle electrical architectures (12V systems and high-voltage EV systems)
- Strong communication skills and experience preparing technical documents
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally on short notice
- Valid G driver's license
- Professional Engineering designation or eligibility in Ontario is desirable
