Job Summary
Perform and/or supervise the inspection, repair, installation, troubleshooting, modification, and maintenance of electrical equipment, including induction and synchronous motors, transformers, generators, switchgear, protective relays, starters, and distribution systems. Diagnose equipment issues and provide technical expertise to resolve electrical and control system failures. Develop refurbishment procedures for worn electrical components and oversee repair and spare parts replacement activities. Provide technical decision-making support for major equipment repairs, overhauls, and reliability improvement initiatives. Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of electrical maintenance activities. Prepare technical reports, repair documentation, and equipment assessments. This residence-based position supports operations across Global Operations plants and requires significant travel within the assigned region, with occasional international travel. Availability is on a 24-hour per day, 7-day per week basis to respond to plant needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum 5 years experience in the petrochemical and manufacturing industry
- Experience in low, medium and high voltage electrical equipment maintenance
- Experience in start-up or commissioning environment
- Practical knowledge relating to electrical distribution
- Practical knowledge relating to motors and motor controls
- Practical knowledge relating to conduit and wiring practices
- Practical knowledge relating to lighting and grounding
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code, particularly hazardous locations
- Strong basic computer skills
- Ability to work extended hours
- Ability to travel with short notice
- Ability to lift

- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to work in confined spaces
Desired Qualifications

- Prior supervisory experience
