Job Summary
Senior electrical engineer for base-plant high-voltage T&D operations in Fort McMurray. Responsibilities include monitoring real-time and near-real-time system conditions, supporting outages and operational events, assessing system risks, maintaining and communicating operating envelopes and approved facility ratings (FAC-008), preparing outage endorsements and risk reviews, maintaining single-line diagrams, leading or supporting power-quality analysis and event investigations, and providing technical input to projects and cross-functional improvements. Requires 12+ years of experience, a P.Eng. designation, a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline, and strong knowledge of high-voltage T&D systems, industry standards, AESO/NERC/Alberta reliability requirements, and related tools (SAP, MS Office, engineering reports). Location is Fort McMurray, Alberta; office-based with field interface; 40-hour work week with on-call/outage support. Relocation assistance is provided.
