Specialist, Electrical Engineer

Job Summary
Design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electronic equipment on military/commercial aircraft and ground stations. Create system wiring diagrams using CAD tools such as Capital Harness System and NX; develop circuit breaker panels and control panels; perform research, prepare engineering drawings, and coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to meet requirements at minimum cost. Lead a small team of 2 to 5 entry-level electrical design engineers, mentor junior engineers, and manage work packages and budget estimates. Work on Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Sensor Systems, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Loads analysis, and Load shedding, with opportunities to support testing and integration of systems on aircraft. Travel to flight lines and aircraft hangars; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship); preferred defense aerospace experience and active security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- Must be able to travel to and from flight line and work in aircraft hangar environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which require U.S. Citizenship
- Preferred Additional Skills: Active secret security clearance or higher, Experience interpreting SOW, requirements and Systems Definition, Knowledge of CAD and PLM software (NX and Teamcenter), Knowledge of Siemens Capital software, Understanding of basic aircraft systems, Systems integration experience, Leadership experience, Experience with Bombardier Global aircraft
