Job Summary
Specialist Distribution Center Housekeeping role focused on maintaining a clean, safe, orderly warehouse environment. Responsibilities include following chemical-use instructions, operating relevant cleaning equipment (certification may be required per equipment), emptying and cleaning waste containers, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and fixtures, restocking supplies, cleaning kitchen areas and displays, maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, responding to custodial emergencies, and adhering to company policies and ethics. The position requires physical activity, ability to handle hazardous materials per regulations, and adherence to safety standards; the environment is warehouse-based with exposure to dust and variable weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- One year of custodial experience and/or building maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of methods of maintaining, cleaning, and preserving a variety of surfaces
- Proper and safe use of a wide range of chemicals according to state and federal regulations
- Handling and disposing of hazardous materials and blood borne pathogens with care and in compliance with regulations/trainings
- Possess essential physical and mental capabilities with interpersonal skills, attention to detail, memory, following directions, comprehension, organization and innovation
- Reading, writing, and speaking English preferred
