Job Summary
Specialist, CTE- Elementary supports K–2 CTE initiatives in the Mobile CTE Lab, overseeing operations, coordinating projects, and delivering instructional coaching, professional development, and teacher training to implement engaging, hands-on career exploration experiences. Positions may involve operating the Mobile CTE Lab vehicle; CDL not required. Essential duties include curriculum writing, alignment and implementation of CTE programs; serving as a liaison between the CTE office and schools; coordinating staff development for curriculum implementation; communicating vision and goals to faculty; driving to schools; coordinating professional learning communities; locating/resources; assisting with marketing, communication, and recruitment efforts; and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, five years teaching experience, and Florida DOE Certification or CTE program certification; Master’s degree preferred. Knowledge and abilities span CTE program content, differentiation, leadership, training development, research, communication, and teamwork; some computer programming skills and STEM/STEAM experience are plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Five (5) years successful teaching experience
- Florida Department of Education Certification or in a Career and Technical Education program
