Job Summary
Develop and review content-specific test items, including multiple choice, technology-enhanced, and performance-based tasks across multiple grade levels for large-scale assessments. Assist in creating item specifications, test blueprints, and ancillary documents while leveraging AI-powered tools to support development, review, and enhancement of assessment content. Collaborate with team members to integrate AI-generated assets into workflows, manage item writers, and facilitate customer meetings to provide content expertise. Consult with clients on planning and review meetings, stay current with emerging educational technologies, and perform other duties as assigned. Some travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, content-specific area, or equivalent experience
- Five years' experience as an elementary or secondary teacher in the field of content-specific area
- Professional knowledge of content-specific area and educational trends
- Some experience in large-scale, educational measurement
- General knowledge of all phases of the development, processing, scoring, and reporting of large-scale assessments
- Some travel required
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellence in AI-supported content development, or clear evidence of strong potential and readiness to leverage AI effectively in content creation
- Experience or familiarity with prompting, refining, and evaluating AI-generated content for education purposes
- Skill in basic software tools and technology and the confidence necessary to work with unfamiliar programs
- Demonstrated interest in learning about and adapting to new AI technologies as they evolve
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Ability to creatively and flexibly address challenges with a variety of audiences
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple activities and adapt to unexpected event
