Job Summary
Provide reactive cleaning cover for Lancashire Constabulary, care homes, and council premises across the county, including biohazard tasks and specialized surface cleaning using heavy-duty industrial equipment. Deliver services in line with Health and Safety regulations and corporate risk assessments, ensuring safe methods of working for yourself and building users. Maintain an on-call standby rotation for 24/7 coverage, with additional hours paid over and above the salary. You will be provided with a vehicle for use in connection with the duties of this post.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to drive a vehicle
- DBS disclosure
- Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 compliance
- Availability for 24 hours 7 days a week service
- Ability to provide on-call/standby duties
- Willingness to work flexibly within 37 hours
- Ability to work weekend shifts
- Ability to work outside normal working hours
- Health and safety knowledge
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
- Ability to work safely
- Responsibility for health and safety of building users
- Ability to take responsibility for health and safety of premises users
- Ability to work with key holding duties
- Experience with specialist cleaning equipment
- Ability to use professional grade heavy-duty floor scrubber dryers
- Ability to use industrial spray extraction carpet cleaners
- Ability to use high-pressure steam or water systems
- Ability to deliver cleaning service in line with regulations
- Ability to adhere to the use of correct chemicals and equipment
- Ability to undertake training for specialist equipment used or surfaces that require various cleaning methods
- Ability to work in commercial, industrial, internal and outdoor environments
- Ability to provide biohazard cleaning
- Experience in Police, Care, and corporate establishments
- County wide cover capability
