Job Summary
Coordinate and assist with planning library activities for children aged 0–11, incorporating early literacy techniques aligned with the "Every Child Ready to Read" framework. Perform customer service duties including processing new cards, check-ins, and fee collection while maintaining shelf materials and public areas. Assist patrons with computer navigation, device troubleshooting, and digital resources, and create displays and promotional materials. Plan story times, engage with assessment tools to measure programming impacts, and produce content for media outlets. Support staff with branch and outreach vehicle opening/closing procedures, item maintenance, and inventory. Complete monthly check-in meetings with the supervisor. Work full-time hours with one evening shift weekly and one weekend shift monthly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, equivalent work experience or completion of apprenticeship
- One year of customer service work experience
- The schedule requires one evening shift per week and one weekend shift per month
