Job Summary
Specialist, Case Management role coordinating medical care for crew members, acting as a healthcare advocate from disembarkation through return to vessel, liaising between shipboard medical teams and shoreside providers, organizing medical transfers (air, ground, repatriation) and documentation, reviewing medical reports and cost estimates, ensuring timely communication with treating physicians, arranging accommodations, meals, and communications for crew members while away from domicile, and working with Crew Care/Care Team/Port Agents/Travel Teams and Assistance Companies to ensure proper medical care, transportation, and immigration/compliance. The position includes a 24/7 on-call roster and interfaces with multiple brands, medical teams onboard, shoreside health services, and external vendors. Onsite daily in Pasay, Philippines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree. Clinical background, BSN/RN or MD required.
- 5+ years combined experience in patient care, case management, occupational health, and/or utilization review.
- Familiarity and experience with medical billing procedures.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently and complete in timely manner.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Able to use PowerPlatform based applications.
- Shipboard clinical experience preferred.
