Job Summary
Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Pathology; duties include assisting in the organisation, management and development of laboratory services across Haematology, Biochemistry and Blood Transfusion. You will liaise with the Laboratory Consultant and Pathology Manager to ensure high-quality, cost-effective service provision. Responsibilities include analysing, interpreting and reporting information; developing the movement of laboratory specimens and blood; assisting with research and development; and providing/receiving complex information. Requirements: HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with no restrictions; experience in Blood Transfusion, Haematology or Chemical Pathology; at least 2 years post-registration experience; excellent communication skills. 12-month fixed term contract; full-time 37.5 hours with early, late and weekend shifts and on-call rota; must live within 30 minutes of the hospital.
Required Qualifications
- HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with no restrictions on practice
- 2 years post state registration experience
- Experience in Blood Transfusion or Haematology or Chemical Pathology
