Job Summary
Conduct animal welfare, regulatory, biosecurity, and process evaluation audits at live production facilities for beef or pork species, covering both Newbern and Williams locations. Perform unannounced audits during non-standard shifts, analyze internal data for trends, and collaborate with business leaders to implement improvements. Deliver training to Tyson TEAM Members and contract personnel, manage training databases, and provide technical support for CARE and Farm Check programs. Create weekly reports on FSIS regulatory activity and audit recommendations. Requires a valid driver's license for weekly travel, ability to work around animals and in various environments, and experience with Safety Chain and NR Database systems.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver license
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of previous relevant experience in live animal production and/or processing
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Professional Animal Auditor Certification Organization certification (PAACO) or eligibility and commitment to obtain certification
- Thorough knowledge of live production, biosecurity, food safety, and animal welfare and handling standards
- Exceptional attention to detail, follow up, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to withstand a wide variety of temperature and climate changes
- Must reside within the United States
- Ability to travel up to 4-6 times per year
- Some overnight travel and occasional night work
- Willingness to work 1ST SHIFT (United States of America)
- Willingness to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in meat (beef/pork) plant operations
- Previous experience working for a third-party animal welfare auditing company
- Safety Chain system and NR Database experience
