Job Summary
Specialist, Aerospace Engineer (Structural Dynamics) performs aeroelastic and dynamic load analyses including frequency response and modal analysis of aircraft structure modifications; conducts flutter analysis, dynamic mass and stiffness assessment, and supports flight-test data collection and reduction to develop vibration spectra and acoustic profiles. Leads analytical reporting, test plans and test reports for airworthiness of major aircraft modifications, with hands-on experience in finite element modeling (MSC Nastran) and familiarity with FAA/military airworthiness requirements; requires ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance (U.S. citizenship) and willingness to lead or support ground and flight testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of relevant aircraft dynamics experience
- Graduate Degree with two (2) years of relevant aircraft dynamics experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of eight (8) years of relevant aircraft dynamics experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance
