Job Summary
The Specialised Clinical Cardiac Physiologist will perform highly specialised cardiac ultrasound investigations including transthoracic, contrast, bubble, 3D echocardiograms, and dobutamine stress echocardiograms. Responsibilities include performing and interpreting 12 lead ECGs, managing Holter monitors, conducting Exercise Treadmill Tests, and assisting with device interrogations. Candidates should be independent practitioners capable of issuing clinically diagnostic reports and maintaining patient records. Required qualifications include a relevant Bachelor's degree and echocardiography accreditation.
Required Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology or BSc in Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) or PTP equivalence
- Transthoracic (TTE) Level 2 accreditation by the British Society of Echocardiography or Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography Certification by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI)
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience of advanced and highly specialised procedures acquired through accredited courses
- Able to perform a range of specialist diagnostic investigations on patients in a variety of clinical settings
