Job Summary
Provide tailored personal care including showering, grooming, and toileting for residents with dementia while supporting life engagement and recognizing changes in their conditions. Respond appropriately to resident needs and changes within your skills and competencies. Complete onsite orientation with a Workplace Trainer, attend buddy shifts, and work independently or as part of a team under the support of Registered Nurses and Managers. This role offers up to 65 hours per fortnight across morning and afternoon rosters, with flexibility for night and weekend shifts. Applicants with Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care are viewed favourably.
Required Qualifications
- Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people & want to make a difference in their lives
- Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including nights & weekends
- Value teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiative
- Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs
- All new staff will complete an onsite orientation with a Workplace Trainer, have buddy shifts and be supported by experienced Registered Nurses and Managers on site
Desired Qualifications
- Applicants with Cert lll or Cert lV in Aged Care would be viewed favourably
