Special Services School Bus Aide

Assist students with boarding and exiting the school bus safely and respectfully. Operate the wheelchair lift to load and unload students using wheelchairs or mobility devices. Properly secure wheelchairs, safety restraints, harnesses, and equipment before motion begins. Provide physical assistance to students with mobility limitations during loading, unloading, and emergencies. Adjust safety harnesses and seat belts per individual transportation plans. Must be able to lift 100 lbs. Work under the direction of the Transportation Director and bus driver while following all district policies, state, and federal regulations.
