Special Services Program Specialist (Resource)

Job Summary
The Special Services Program Specialist (Autism/Behavior) will serve as an on-site professional development leader collaborating with teachers to provide instructional support for students receiving special education services. Responsibilities include conducting teacher training, utilizing evidence-based practices, and developing individualized support and educational plans. The specialist will assist in implementing behavioral strategies, support professional learning communities, coordinate staff development, and provide training for families. Essential skills include knowledge of autism strategies, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from accredited college or university
- Valid teaching certificate, Special Education certified and/or license
- 2-5 years successful teaching experience as a Special Education teacher or Board Certified Behavior Analyst or related experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with students who have Autism
