Job Summary
The Special Security Technician assists the Special Security Officer (SSO) in controlling access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and facilities. Responsibilities include certifying visitor clearances, conducting security briefings, managing nondisclosure agreements, and overseeing SCI eligibility requests. The role also involves lifecycle program protection management to reduce risks of espionage and unauthorized information disclosure, along with training personnel in CAP / SAP program protection requirements. Further duties encompass audits of classified material and inspections of storage facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Ability to obtain a polygraph
- At least eight years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

- Detailed knowledge of DoD, IC, services, and mission partners' CAP / SAP / SAR policies, plans, and procedures
